Duvet cover and Euros

My sweet friend Elizabeth is doing lots of updating and redecorating in her home.  She has GREAT taste and is working on getting her boys' rooms finished.  She just had hardwoods put in and gutted the bathroom.  Is it wrong to say that I'm jealous of that bathroom?  Lots of marble and gorgeous accents.  Anyway, she had me sew panels for her son Wilks and then we decided to do a duvet cover and Euro pillows in the same fabric to tie it all together.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE using the same fabric from window treatments as accents on the bed.  I don't have a picture of the panels hung yet, but I will take some when I get a chance.  Here is the duvet and euros propped up on my couch.  She picked out the most beautiful neutral checked fabric.  It is very heavy and rich looking.  Almost feels like burlap mixed with linen if that is a thing.  I can't wait to see it installed.

Stool slipcover and a little Annie Sloan chalk paint

My friend KB had this old stool in her attic.  She hated the top of it, but she loved the legs.  She wanted piping and 2 inch box pleats and left the rest up to me.  I drew a sketch of what I was picturing and she loved it.
Here is the BEFORE/AFTER and if you scroll down to the bottom, you will see that I painted the legs with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White.  She wants it lightly distressed and I haven't gotten that far yet.

Here is a picture of the sketch I drew beforehand.  I try to sketch all of my slipcovers to help me picture it in my head before starting.  WARNING:  I'm not the best artist. ;-)

AFTER with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (Old White)

Mid Century Chair recover

My friend Jaclyn has amazing taste and loves midcentury furniture and decor.  She found this awesome chair and wanted me to recover the cushions.  I LOVE the fabric she picked out.  I pre washed the fabric and serged the edges along with adding a zipper so she can take them off and wash if needed or if she decides to go back to the navy leather, she can do that too.  Here is the before.  Once again, sorry for the iPhone pics.  I need to use my good camera!

BEFORE

Here is a shot of the cushions before we put them on her chair.

And here is the AFTER!!!  How gorgeous is this fabric!!  I love deep warm tones of orange, brown and olive.  Add a splash of robin's egg blue and this is just beautiful!!
I love how this chair turned out!

Fixed Flat Roman Shades

My friend Lindsey just remodeled her kitchen and it looks AMAZING! She wanted the look of Roman Shades but non functional.  This was a little complicated because this window measures 98 inches wide, but I love how they turned out.  I wish I had a picture of her entire kitchen because it is beautiful. She did a grey subway tile backsplash that matches this grey floral fabric.

This is the other window I did above the sink.  How cute is that chandelier??

Pillows for a teen girl's room

I apologize for the bad quality iPhone pictures.  The sunlight streaming in didn't help either.  I made this chevron pillow for a friend's daughter's bed  It is linen with white linen piping and an invisible zipper.  Hard to see the piping in this angle.

This is the cutest orange/white fabric.  Client wanted just a simple Euro without piping.  Her daughter has twin beds so I made one for each bed.  Again, sorry for the bad lighting!
Here is a shot of the room and beds with the orange Euros.

Pillow with border, bench cushion, chair

Client had leftover fabric that she loved but not enough to make a whole pillow so I made a border so she could still use this fabric.

Here is a better picture of the cane chair I painted and reupholstered.
This cheetah cushion goes on an adorable bench but I don't have a picture of client's completed project.

Cheetah velvet envelope pillow

I have a neighbor, Katy Bell Hamnes who is a fantastic interior designer. Her home is gorgeous. And she's been kind enough to give me some projects and I've been meaning to get pictures of the pillows I did for her this summer.   I also did the desk chair slipcover for her daughter's room. If you live in Nashville/Brentwood and need a designer, let me know and I'll give you her info. She has such fun taste. Lot's of linen and velvet and just a great vision. She asked me to do these pillows for a client. She just wanted 16 inch envelope style and likes a thick, plush look so we filled them with 18 inch down inserts.
